Adelaide comrades and community members,

Come out and support 887 visa applicants as they march from Victoria Square to the steps of Parliament in Adelaide on 14 August, 2022 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm Adelaide time (ACST).

This rally will be to raise awareness around the unfair visa waits for 887 visa applicants. The 887 visa (SC 887) is a skilled migration visa available to eligible migrants who have lived and worked in designated areas of regional Australia. Due to consistent delays in processing times, thousands of 887 applicants across Australia have been waiting more than 2 years and have had their lives turned upside down. Without clear pathways to permanency, migrant workers face impacts to nearly every aspect of their lives.

At the Migrant Workers Centre, we're speaking out against unfair visa processing times and the ways that migration policies have left migrant workers' lives in limbo.
