The Migrant Workers Centre, New International Bookshop and the Search Foundation warmly invite you to the launch of The Precarious Migrant Worker — a vital new work exploring migrant labour, precarity and resistance in the UK.

About the event

Author Panos Theodoropoulos will introduce the book’s major themes, drawing from his immersive ethnographic research inside the UK’s warehouses, factories and kitchens. He explores how precarity shapes migrant lives — and how resistance to neoliberal systems still emerges from the ground up.

Theodoropoulos will reflect on the intersections of migration, precarity, bordering and organising — followed by an open discussion with attendees.

"Book of the Year. Brilliantly researched and original. The research of the book is clearly painstaking."
– Hsiao-Hung Pai

Whether you're organising your workplace, researching labour, or living these conditions firsthand, this event is a space to learn, connect and share.

Register today to attend, spaces are limited.
Light catering provided.
