Event Description

This capacity-building session aims to achieve this by equipping student leaders, student support services staff, and other international students with the skills they need to identify and respond to signs of labour exploitation.

It is human nature to turn to our peers for help when we are facing a problem. By enhancing the skills of peer networks and trusted support services staff, students will be able to access accurate information, accessible resources, and referrals to appropriate services from people they trust and feel comfortable with.

Workshop structure

  1. Common workplace issues faced by international students
  2. Identifying signs of labour exploitation
  3. Responding to signs of labour exploitation
  4. Further information, tools, and resources

This event is possible due to the support of Study Melbourne.
